Japan Tag 2018

Japan Tag

  • Japanday
  • Düsseldorf

It was our first time at the Japan Tag in Düsseldorf and it was mind blowing. Here is our review and experience:

We arrived in the morning before 10am. Most stands were closed and opened at 12pm, however some already sold stuff at 11 am. Some cosplayers were already present but it was not crowded. At noon, more and more people came and it was really full. The weather was a bit too hot (30 ºC , like 87ºF) but at least it has not rained. In fact, we had planned to go as Ferid and Crowley from Owari no Seraph, but due to the weather conditions we changed plans and went as Victor and Yurio from Yuri!!! On Ice. (Check out our post about the Luxcon to see our costumes as Ferid and Crowley)

Morning vs Noon/Afternoon

Indeed, we had a lot of fun. We have seen many great and different costumes where some were bought and some were selfmade. Not every cosplay was Japan related, but it didn’t matter because they looked amazing.

Corpse Bride and Dragonball and 3x Johnny Depp (Hatmaker, Jack Sparrow and Edward Scissorhands)

Ciel Phantomhive and Grell Sutcliff and another Ciel (from Kuroshitsuji)

Undertaker and Drocell Keinz (Cainz) (from Kuroshitsuji) (to be honest our favorites)

2 x Jūzō Suzuya (from Tokyo Ghoul)

Ken Kaneki (from Tokyo Ghoul) and Yato and Hiyori (from Noragami)

Yuri Ayato (from Yarichin B*tch Club) and Krul Tepes (from Owari no Seraph)

There was also a Cosplay fashion show where the costumes are selfmade:

Also some sports and Samurai shows:

Some stands sold anime and manga stuff which was really awesome for us. They had stuffed toys, figures and more. Besides anime stands, they have also sold Japanese food, puppets, kimonos and so on.

Of course we couldn’t resist and also bought some stuff. 😉

The day ended with great and wonderful fireworks.

It was a great experience and we will definitely come back next year!

Side Note: If there are any people on the photos who want them to be removed, please let us know (^ω^) .

Cheers,
MikaYuu Hyakuya
